MORE HATE Prod. presents the reissue of “Ugra” album recorded by the legendary Russian doom metal band MENTAL HOME which significantly influenced the development of Russian metal underground in the 90s and has released 6 full-length albums. “Ugra” was originally self-released in 2012 as a limited edition digibook with 20-pages booklet. The first 100 copies included an authentic part of war aftermath from the banks of Ugra river. The album is reissued as a standard CD with artwork and musical content of the “first press”. “Ugra” is a concept-based album dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. The lyrics written in Russian (for the first time in band’s biography) narrate on tragic episodes, heroic deeds and valor of Russian soldiers and citizens and on the events that took place in winter and spring of 1942 on the banks of this long-suffering river. MENTAL HOME had used all of their rich creativity, skills and talent to convey the feelings and emotions experienced by soldiers of both hostile sides in the form of melodic doom metal. The CD includes the original Russian-language LAKE OF TEARS cover – “Voronyo” (Carrion crows).
