Apostasia (after the Greek Αποστασία) – the formal disaffiliation from, or abandonment or renunciation of religious or political commitments and foundations by a person. This is how MEMORIAL – a hardcore/crust band from Chile entitled its album. A 9-song CD is charged with pure fury: the band combines hardcore-punk rhythms with gloomy black metal riffs creating anxious atmosphere of impending Apocalypse. All lyrics are performed in Spanish and convey deep emotional message. MEMORIAL does not stick to any specific style confidently combining elements from different musical genres and producing rather heavy and extreme cocktail.
