The debut album by OBSTRUCTION (Tver, Russia) titled "Dust" is a 20 year long autobiographic story, some kind of gestalt therapy addressing the band’s creative development, where misanthropy, misery of human kind, hate and malice meet together. The main themes of the lyrics are power, religion and war. The music can be described as a combination of death and black metal, however OBSTRUCTION is not likely to adhere to the traditional understanding of these genres. Mainly mid-tempo, the album is notable not for frantic pace, but for its groove and atmosphere that create a certain dark and negative mood, exposing your brain and mind to OBSTRUCTION. The sound of the band was influenced by such monsters like Napalm Death, Kataklysm, T.H.R.O.N., Death, Cannibal Corpse, Deicide, Vomitory, Sinister, Dissection, God Dethroned.
