The fourth full-length studio album by RUBICON with a self-explanatory title "Monsters From the Unconscious" is not just a compilation of new songs — it is a journey to the back of our minds, our demons are lurking in. With each album track you encounter another monster from your mind — fear, anger, envy, despair... Mental monsters break free from the dark labyrinths of your subconsciousness! The album features guest appearances by Michael Draw (the vocalist of iconic Otto Dix) Vlad Viper (Above the Stars, a dragon from the live performance of "The Elvish Manuscript" by Epidemia. Unfourtunately, Bob Saliba — a French guitarist, whose guitar solos can be heard on all previous albums of the band — was unable to take part in the recording process due to the scheduling conflicts. The solos were recorded by Connor MacCray (Vis Mystica, Drekneks, Bravura) — one of the best guitarists of the US West Coast. On the new album RUBICON continues blending the American school of Heavy-Power Metal with different genres. This time the band tries it’s hand at Gothic Metal, the modern variations of Hard Rock and even 1970s Retro Rock, but with its own trademark sound, enriched with the shades of these genres.
