On a new split CD these two projects from Kaliningrad present the songs that have not ended up on their full-length albums for different reasons. Some of these songs did not fit either the style or the subject area of the core stuff of the bands, however the musicians decided to release them on this split CD. MOONGATES GUARDIAN present 6 songs with their characteristic atmosphere, yet demonstrating a different approach to arrangements and mood, as compared to their full-length albums. This is also the case with BALGA: the songs they have chosen for this release differ from their general line. The split CD format gives both bands a chance to make these songs available to listeners, who can see MOONGATES GUARDIAN and BALGA in a different light. It should be noted that as compared to the previously released Internet version, the CD includes some extra materials: a darkwave cover version of “Misty Mountains Cold” by Howard Shore (OST “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey”), and “Black Birds Of The Night” — a title track re-recorded specially for this release. Both songs feature female vocals recorded by Anastasia, the vocalist of THE SUNDIAL (Kaliningrad). This split CD will be of interest for both ordinary listeners and collectors, as it includes previously unreleased songs, that cannot be found on the full-length albums of these bands, and some songs that yet are not available even on the Internet.
