ARKUDA
Arkuda is a Russian pagan metal band.
“Arkuda” is one of the numerous names of the animal very honoured in european traditions - a bear. Band is formed in Irkutsk in the beginning of 2007 when the first songs are composed along with the development of a general concept behind the music. Band starts to perform in the end of 2008, the same time the first demo is recorded. Band’s lyrics are based on European paganism, mythology and history of Russia. Music of Arkuda combines the elements of many different genres. Throughout its existence the band has played numerous gigs in Irkutsk and outside the region. Arkuda cooperates with the major Siberian festival – “Metal Hail Fest”.
In 2013 the first full-length album named “Under the pall of the centuries” is recorded. This record includes all early songs along with the new ones.
