The debut album of the blackened death / folk metal band from Yekaterinburg (Russia)! The idea behind ‘Moi Korni’ was to investigate the depths and the origins of madness in the Russian soul. This idea later expanded to a full-length concept album with audiovisual language combining the modern extreme music trends and the elements of Russian folk music and culture in general — choirs, balalaika, button accordion, symbolic artwork and the stage images of the band members, who call themselves the “nameless children” of the essence usually mentioned to scare children in Russia — Babayka. Each song is either a story told by a fictional character or the expression of collective pain and horror. With their faces hidden and names undisclosed, the musicians focus your attention on their music, fictional characters and atmosphere of the songs, making extensive use of the stories about the evil spirits and demons from the Russian folklore.
